We had a great time glad I rented a Jeep rather than taking my Avalanche out on the 4wd beach in corolla. Way better than doing a horse tour. Even took my 89 year old grandfather out for a ride. We rented 2 jeeps and took 18 people out to see the horses in 2 trips.

We rented from Outer Banks Jeep Rental twice this month with two different groups of people (5 Jeeps total). Both groups really enjoyed them and they were a highlight of the trip. Make sure to plan around the tides so you get the most use out of them. Service was great! The owners were great! They are friendly and accommodating. They tell you where you can drive and suggest places to see the horses. The jeeps were well kept and performed well. We will be renting again!

I can't help but express how fantastic our day was and how easy renting and how helpful both John and Maureen are . The jeep played a major part in our vacation and I have to thank them for it. It was a joy to drive and it added a whole new level to our adventure - exactly what we were looking for. The jeep was clean, excellent amenities, and had less than 25K miles on it. We had no troubles up and down sand dunes in Carolla and saw 4 horses during our jeep exploring. We plan to rent again!

Had a blast driving on the beach and seeing the wild mustangs! It was a once in a lifetime experience that we won’t forget. The owners are very informative and helpful. Returning the vehicle is easy and convenient. Renting the gecko Jeep is the way to go - the Dodge Durango that got stuck in the sand was green with envy! Highly recommend creating your own adventure rather than doing a standard tour.

Totally worth it! Outer Banks Jeep Rentals does a wonderful job of providing four wheel drive vehicles and beach driving permits to their customers. John was professional and courteous- I could tell that he was genuinely interested in whether or not we enjoyed ourselves- and we did! I would not hesitate to rent from this fine company again upon our return. Truly worth the price and time to drive to these spots. You will not be disappointed.

Great experience! John and Maureen were very sweet, informative, and thorough with instructions. Maureen gave us lots of recommendations for cool places to check out and even threw in a free air-up kit to make things easier for us, just because it was my birthday! The rental process was easy and smooth. We explored the 4x4 beaches in Corolla and got to see the wild horses. So much fun! We will definitely rent from them again next time we are in OBX!
